When does the 2021 Color of the Year get announced?

They announce at the end of the year for the following year. Then they seem to put out little blurbs for color trends for Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter right in line with the big Fashion weeks :smiley: So be on the look out come December for the 2021 color.

I don’t follow any of that stuff … I just see pretty colors …

Yup, it’s all fashion based as Kitty said.
That’s why the colors are always Textile swatches. I don’t even own one of those books. TOO expensive. When I do get jobs using the textile library, there is a bit of back and forth on that to get the colors as intended. Sometimes it comes down to asking the designer to go to their nearest hardware store that sells paint and pick up some paint swatches that we then try to spec into the software. Sometimes though… :upside_down_face: :upside_down_face: :upside_down_face:

Pantone Colour of 26th September 2020 is 2655c. Literally all posters are of this colour. I am a believer.

I thought this was a joke of some sort, but after a few quick internet searches, it seems it’s real — Pantone has apparently come up with a color for menstrual periods.

I’m still half suspecting the news media has gotten hoodwinked on this one. I guess we’ll see.

I wonder what color…nah it ain’t right to say.

I appreciate then trying to bring some social justice…just at the same time they are a color company.
Their business is printing, color management and other things.

I don’t follow Pantone to get my daily dose of what I can get at any media outlet or college campus.

Pantone really ought to release a bodily functions swatch book covering the entire gamut of colors common to various human secretions. There could be a whole new business market for them in the medical profession. When examining a urine or stool sample, a physician could consult a swatch book and assign it a Pantone designation.
