LOL … yep! That’s where it all started :grin:

I know it’s a cliché that graphic designers dislike Papyrus, but I didn’t know that knowledge was so widespread to warrant a 7 minute segment on SNL. Interesting. I thought it would have been more of an inside joke sort of thing.

About a month ago, I visited my family doctor. He knew that I had designed a few typefaces, so he started sharing his thoughts on typography and which fonts were his favorites. Twenty years ago, a conversation like that with a. non-designer would never have happened.

Randomly found this thread (glad I did because those videos were awesome) and I have to comment my thoughts about this
I think is a well know fact that it’s papyrus because it’s such a different font that anyone who has used Microsoft Word can identify it, just like comic sans
If it was like Montserrat it wouldn’t be so recognizable for everyone, because it’s a simple and basic font
