Decided to get back into Supernatural. Used to watch it when I was younger and got about 14 seasons in. But learned a few years ago they were wrapping up the show and it’s finally finished.

So I’ve started back at Season 10 to catch up with what is going on - gonna finish it now. Long weekend got up so… plans are made!!!

This is the unofficial theme song for the show

It’s just a goofy fun supernatural show.
Love it!

Big Bang Theory (yet again)

on a science kick recently;

I really wish BBC programming was available in the US. I’d gladly pay a fee to get it.

Some of it is. There is BBC America on most cable packages (which I don’t have)

I do watch a few programs through PBS. I’m currently waiting to find a way to watch the new Doctor Who however. I’ll have to wait until it streams somewhere. Usually after the new season is over.

Netflix ran all the older ones and now HBOMax does I think

But through Netflix and PBS I’ve been able to watch some great BBC content

They have an online service but you need to be in the UK

Yeah, that’s exactly what I’ve been running into. I have an account with the BBC, but most of the things I’d like to see require iPlayer that only works in the UK. I’m guessing you can’t use it in most of Ireland either.

As RKK said, the BBC programming in the US is hit-and-miss. Some programs are available on the BBC website, some are available through Netflix or other streaming channels, and what is available is often several years old.

Even though it’s taxpayer-supported by British citizens, a fee for anyone outside the UK would seem to be a win-win deal for everyone and a great public relations tool for the UK.

I might just need to sign up for a VPN account and use a British server. At least, I’m assuming that might be a way to get around the block.

I was going to suggest that but didn’t want to flount any rules here.

We get the BBC here for free.

You might be able to get some of it on boxsets and go old school.

There’s content in the BBC website I can’t access without a VPN

But why have a world wide web and restrict it geographically???

Started watching Outer Range it’s on Prime (at least for me, I know streaming services have different content geographically)

It’s very intriguing!

My wife and I have been watching The Patient on Hulu. We are 4 or 5 episodes in and enjoying it. Steve Carell does a fantastic job. You don’t feel like you’re watching the guy from The Office at all.

Just finished Dahmer. Brilliant and very hard to watch

Watchers also very good based on true story.

Which Dahmer did you watch? It seems like there are two or three series out right now about the guy.

It was one on Netflix with Evan Peters I think

Which is why I won’t watch it. I prefer watching things that leave me feeling good when I’m finished. I couldn’t watch a movie about a psychopathic cannibal.

Unfortunately, almost everything on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, in the theaters, etc. seems designed to ratchet up my anxiety levels, and leave me wondering how the world will ever survive. If it weren’t for some of the better-made documentaries and a few occasional movies and series, I think I’d give up watching streaming videos altogether.

Only about the first three episodes are hard going. Nothing too graphic.

I’d highly recommend it.

That’s what a former co-worker told me about Dexter a few years ago. Nothing terrible. It’s good. I got about 15 minutes into it before having to turn it off and do something else.

I can’t watch people or animals suffering or being subjected to violence. It makes me very sad and gives me nightmares. I’m unsure why, but I’ve always been that way.

I was reading an article this morning about a horror movie that is currently out that has caused people in the theaters to throw up and faint. I am a free market capitalist and believe people should be able to make horror movies, but something about making something that would cause your audience to literally get sick and faint doesn’t seem quite right.

It seems like a stimulation issue. Horror audiences have become desensitized to the standard fare, so directors have to push the envelope farther and farther.

I don’t do Gore. It’s completely unnecessary and yet some love it. I just can’t wrap my head around it. I’m not going to allow my eyes and brain to be assaulted and then have horrific dreams and be all I see when I try to close my eyes :frowning:

I used to love a good scary movie. Now I don’t watch any or them … because they have to go for some disgusting, shock scene. I loveeeee true crime and I watch a lot of it … but as soon as I heard a few talk about Dahmer … that was a big NO from me. We all know what happened. I don’t have to watch someone do it to ā€œunderstandā€ the movie.

It’s no wonder I watch the same handful of tv shows and movies over and over on rotation LOL. There hasn’t been much that makes me want to watch.

Yeh I watch a lot of true crime too, I like watching it, it doesn’t necessarily have to be serial killers. I had heard of Dahmer before but I wasn’t fully aware of the extent of it and was in shock.

I’d watch shows like Betrayed, Forensic Detectives, etc. all day lol.

In terms of funny stuff
I absolutely love Psych (it’s on Peacock here) with James Rodriguez and Dule HIll,
I watch that show on repeat, all 8 seasons and the 3 movies. Love it.

Brooklyn 99 is another favourite.
