Who likes music?!

So, this won’t be everybody’s cup of tea, but Kenny Vaughn rocks. I really dig this guy’s work. You might recognize his backup guitarist, too.

Role reversal?

I haven’t seen Marty in ages. I almost didn’t recognize him without an embroidered bolero jacket

Okay, this post is more about the video than the actual music. This popped up in a playlist the other day, and I thought it was pretty fun. Especially for a Friday. Enjoy.

So good . . .

I am a metal head but a closet country fan…This guy kinda gets it

There is just something about that second song !!

A worthy hit.

My wife was a Bangles fan when we met, and I’ve come to really like some of their stuff. One example that comes to mind is In Your Room, which is just a so-so Pop song until it gets to the coda, where a key change, atypical vocal harmonies, and a strings part written by some evil super-genius closes out the thing in a way that reminds me of The Beatles at their most twisted.

Miles Davis, Paris 1957. From the film soundtrack for the 1958 Louis Malle film Ascenseur pour l’échafaud. Recorded as an improvisation with only vague harmonic sequences agreed beforehand.

Great tune - Great version. This song is the theme tune to BBC’s ‘Death in Paradise’ TV series. I liked it so much I Shazam’ed it.

[EDIT] Oh! ‘Ghost Town’ too - their finest work IMHO :sunglasses:

Love The Specials and saw them live years ago. I don’t care much for Amy Winehouse though.
