Queen - Under pressure (Live at Wembley)
Planning on seeing it this week. I’m still in mourning over Freddie. I’ve never been a fan girl of anyone. Sure I have favorites. But I loveeeeeeed Freddie. I loved all the guys of Queen. I still get choked up thinking about his passing.
I was hesitant to want to see it … because nobody can be him or sound like him. But, I’ve watched a lot of Rami Maleck interviews and he tried so hard to do justice to Freddie, knowing he could never be just like him. He took vocal lessons and music lessons, dance and movement lessons … all just to be somewhat similar. So, I’m going to watch it with no pre-conceived ideas Hopefully
All the trailers looks really good and the fella playing Brian May could be his doppelganger! Wow!
Thanks Steve, I’m music mad if it isn’t obvious lol
Cheers, Glitch.
Trust me, Rami is absolutely BRILLIANT. I’ve loved Freddie since I saw the Night at the Opera tour in 76. And I was going to be so pissed if it sucked. I can’t WAIT to see it again.
I have a wide variety of music. One is fast paced music including dubstep / club. This is an old song but I just recently heard this remix version and it is pretty awesome.
System of a Down - Toxicity
Remixed by Lowderz & DeepDelic
Enjoy!

Me too!
I’ve recently added this one to my design playlist:
That’s unfortunate. Freddie Mercury was unparalleled.
That’s understandable. Their product was unique enough that it’s easy to imagine a not-what-I-want-from-music reaction. Their studio sound was often weirdly over-saturated, and for lack of a better term, “phasey.” Combine that with the experimental nature of much of their songwriting, and they could be considered an “acquired taste;” perhaps un-acquirable for many.
For me as a high-school age musician though, their studio output was intriguing, and then their live sound really did it for me. In 10th grade, I was in a band that did original material, and our PA system was in my (mother’s) basement. With a cassette deck tapped in, I drummed along with the entire Live Killers album beginning-to-end every day after school—loudly. It changed me as a player, and paved the road to my poor dear mother’s sainthood. In 1980, my visualizations of those live performances came to life when I saw Queen on The Game tour in Philadelphia. I had been to many concerts before that, but the quality of their live sound was better than any I’d heard. And even since then, only Frank Zappa scored a close second a year later. The other indelible impression was how much more of a heavy rock act they were live than their studio work would betray. Each of the band’s four members was one-of-a-kind in his own right.
My daughter and I will be seeing the movie ASAP.
Can’t watch … that one makes me dizzy lol … but I did listen … I like this one too. Again, can’t understand a word. But, I like the tune and beat
Loving this the last few days…
and this
I’m pretty sure this video is the reason the internet was invented.
The Buzzcocks, The Jam, The Clash, The Damned . . . the soundtrack of my youth. (And still really great music.)
1977 was a great year (I was 17). Lots of great music.
Low Point; Elvis died
High Point; Star Wars Episode iv (the first one)
Town Called Malice, I freaking LOVE that song
Bee Gees - Stayin’ Alive (1977)
'77 had some great music and bands … unfortunately I never found them until well into the 80’s when I was able to listen to music I chose lol
I’ve said it many times … if my Mother didn’t listen to it, watch it, eat it or read it … neither did we. She ruled the roost. I didn’t even know who Led Zepplin was until I graduated high school
Anyhoo … here are two of the sappiest songs from that era that my mother adored. They were the most overplayed, syrup covered, sugar shock inducing tunes I’ve ever heard.
But, truth be told … they are part of my growing up and no, I don’t hate them. I sort of like them and snicker and smile a bit when I hear them.
I guess that’s just part of what makes me a weirdo LOL
I’m not in quite the same boat, we could listen to other music but its funny how songs you used to roll your eyes at as a kid have become ingrained in your memory. My dad used to love these songs, and as a result I still do too despite them being not the sort of thing I would “normally” like:
Nothing will get a room full of drunk white people moving like when the band plays Sweet Caroline.
Lol…I know them all well
I knew Convoy by heart
