Kitty I am doing outstanding !!

I had an injury on my foot that became massively infected in the tissue and the bone. The initial surgery did not remove the infection and was threatening the rest of my leg. It also was starting to invade the rest of my body. I had a huge choice, to try to fight the infection with additional surgeries which had very limited chance of success. The almost certain chance of the infection further infecting the rest of my body and probably killing me. NO BRAINER I opted for amputation. The video is fast forward 4 months after extensive therapy… The video shows literally the second time I had my prosthetic on.

I have a friend whose lower leg was crushed when a car hit him about ten years ago. I won’t say it isn’t an inconvenience for him, but he gets around really well with his prosthetic. I’ve been bicycle riding with him a few times and he can still outride me — just like he was able to do before the accident.

It’s more of an exercise thing for me.

Actually cycling is one of the things that allowed insurance to approve a more advanced foot and is a medium term goal. Last summer I was up to about 20 miles a day.

It’s what was in the mind of a two year old :smiley:

When Abdul was born my Nephew was not quite 2. He took one look at him and said he should be called Abdul … so he was :slight_smile:

I have no idea where he came up with the name … but it sure sounded more interesting that anything I would have come up with … he could have been Socks or Tigger LOL :smiley:
