This is the one currently stuck in my head

My current earworm; At the River by Groove Armada, featuring a sample of A sample of Patti Page’s “Old Cape Cod” and the most sublime Trombone solo ever recorded.

That’s good stuff.

Don Carlos!

It’s Kirsty MacColl Monday. And, yes, I just made that up.

Kirsty MacColl impressed me the most with her collaboration with Shane MacGowan in the Pogue’s Fairytale of New York, which, to me, is the greatest Christmas song I’ve heard.

That’s certainly a classic performance.

I did not know I needed Gregorian in my life

She impressed me most when I heard she died saving the life of her son. A genuine hero.

Not sure about the cover art but the tune is fire lol…

Good one to wake up to for me.

I saw a band named U2 play with tears for fears warming them up in 1983-4 at the spectrum in Montréal for $12.50 Canadien dollars. not to many knew who they were then
fun times!
