I like music that is in a language that I don’t understand, I just imagine they are singing about something.

Tinariwen - Amassakoul

Translation of lyrics;

I am a traveller in the lone desert
It’s nothing special
I can stand the wind
I can stand the thirst
And the sun
I know how to go and walk
Until the setting of the sun
In the desert, flat and empty, where nothing is given
My head is alert, awake
I have climbed up and climbed down
The mountains where I was born
I know in which caves the water is hidden
These worries are my friends
I’m always on familiar terms with them and that
Gives birth to the stories of my life
You who are organised, assembled, walking together
Hand in hand, you’re living
A path which is empty of meaning
In truth, you’re all alone

Anyone into Steampunk?
Hope this isn’t considered an ad. Just shouting out for a cool indie band in these crazy times.
Their first streamed concert last month was absolutely awesome (the after-party was hysterical - and entertaining too.)
They’re having another on the Captain’s birthday:

Toss this if it not ok to link.

Interesting song, adding to the playlist.

His songs will always be listened to.

Just got up. We were watching that Abney Park livestream concert until a little after 1am. We had tickets to the after-party which made the show 4 hours long (1.5 hour set, 1/2 hour intermission, 2 hour after-party)
It was AWESOME!
There were only 67 of us watching the after-party from all over the world (US, Russia, a few EU, and Canada) and they were doing requests. They played one of mine! It was so crazy funny I didn’t want it to end.

That is so awesome!

One of their more ballad-like songs. Love the artwork they use in this:

“Good bye work week.”

“Hello weekend.”

“Hey 1982, I sure miss you.”

If you need something to listen to at work to help the creative juices yet not be distracting, check out the Hotel Costs mixes. Good stuff. Here’s one:
