I’m getting Within Temptation vibes. I like it!
Thank you! That’s a great compliment. We just completed a tour with Lacuna Coil and have a few cool things coming up at the end of the year as well
Pretty cool! What are you playing?
That is awesome … I haven’t listened to Lacuna Coil in a minute … need to go revisit them me thinks
I’m the rhythm guitar player (playing a Music Man St. Vincent model in the video).
They are great and very nice people.
Changing the mood a little …
I contributed to this after a post on the VCV Rack forums. It’s all done by members of the community using VCV Rack and mixed by Ablaut. He does this every year for Drone Day and I’m already looking forward to next year.
Not sure if drone / ambient music is your thing but this is better than I expected.
This is great - I am a sucker for this kind of thing and this is up there
Happy Monday! I hope everyone is doing well out there. Here is another new one from my band. New album comes out this Friday, July 14! Cheers!
I digress. “I Left My Heart In San Francisco” is a very well-written classic, whereas “San Francisco Bay Blues”, written by Jesse Fuller, is more grass-roots level, but nevertheless not a lesser gem.
Been going back through a lot of my ancient favorites. I came across this gem from ELO. I can’t believe it was 1975
I had the 45 and I about wore it out. Of course I loved the A Side “Telephone” but this has to be my favorite B Side of all time … until they stopped making them that is
I get so lost in the Orchestra of it all. It makes it such a dramatic musical piece. And the take on Robin Hood is great
Here are the lyrics if you can’t make them out.
''Me I’m just a poor boy, from across the far south lands,
And I’ve traveled many days to reach this place to make my stand,
I fell in with a merry band, and drank away the hours.
Rollin’ on, I’ve been rollin’ on,
And my head is high, from the battle won,
Laid down my life for the Greenwood
The city boys, and the country boys, they come from miles around,
To defy their king and country, save the poor folks from the hand,
Of the thieving dukes and abbotts, and the gentry of the land.
Rollin’ on, I’ve been rollin’ on,
And my head is high, from the battle won,
Laid down my life for the Greenwood
Sweet Maid Marion, don’t you do me no wrong,
Stay on the right side, the Greenwood is your home,
The dancing girls and the open fires, the wine that flows like water.
Rollin’ on, I’ve been rollin’ on,
And my head is high, from the battle won,
Laid down my life for the Greenwood’’
