Who likes music?!

Here is another one from my band’s latest album :metal:t3:

My wife said she had this song stuck in her mind this morning. I sure do love her. (And not just for her taste in music.)

Thought it’s appropriate to the weather we’re facing, and a tribute to the passing of The Man.

I got to check an item off my my bucket list this weekend (it’s not a very exciting bucket list). I’ve been a fan of Elvis Costello for decades, but I never got to see him live until this weekend. He did not disappoint.

Favourite singles from one of my favourite bands of the era; The Undertones don’t get much airtime these days but this is a belter from 1979.

and this is their breakthrough single

Pretty sure that’s The Bangles dancing on stage during What’s So Funny…

My memories are only good to as far as 31st December 1969.

Here’s one for Valentine’s Day
This version recorded live, original by Frankie Goes to Hollywood (1984)

Years ago, I was rehearsing with a band in a building that had one house nearby, We knocked on the door to apologise for any noise we might make and hoped we wouldn’t disturb too much. An old lady lived there. Her response was, ‘Oh, I don’t mind, my grandson plays in a band. They are called, Frankie goes to somewhere or other… I don’t remember exactly’!

In other words, the old lady was “relaxed”?
